Project: A Kiss for the Petals

I've put up the first of hopefully many projects pages, this one for the most recent of my game projects: A Kiss for the Petals. This is an unofficial English translation of Sono Hanabira Ni Kuchiduke Wo (Japanese title: その花びらにくちづけを), a short-but-sweet yuri visual novel released by Fuguriya. The site for this translation project can be found at http://sonohanabira.countpacula.com/.

Japanese For U 101 - lesson 1:

Japanese For U 101, lesson 1:

その花びらにくちづけを
Sono Hanabira Ni Kuchiduke Wo

その - "sono" - that/those
花 - "hana" - flower(s)
花びら - "hanabira" - (flower) petal(s)
に - "ni" - to/for/on (particle indicating direction or location)
くちづけ- "kuchiduke" - kiss(es) (noun)
を - "o" (the 'w' is silent) - a/the (particle indicating object being acted upon)

Word for word translation: "those petals for, a kiss"
Hence: "A Kiss for the Petals".

This phrasing seemed to be the best to me in terms of retaining some amount of poeticness and subtlety. Still, do note that "kisses" would be just as accurate, as well as "to" or "on" rather than "for". Also, 'kuchiduke' seems to be an older, less often used word, likely used for poetic effect. (The most common word for 'kiss' is キス - "kisu" - a loanword from English.)
